Counselling and Psychotherapy

My Approach

My therapeutic approach is integrative, relational, and person-centred. I believe that healing happens in the context of a safe, attuned relationship—one where you feel seen, heard, and accepted without judgment. Together, we create a space that allows for exploration, understanding, and meaningful change.

I draw from a range of modalities to meet you where you are, adapting my work to support your individual needs, pace, and goals. Central to this approach is the belief that all parts of you are welcome, and that your experiences—past and present—deserve compassionate attention.

Here’s how I work:

  • Attachment-Focused Therapy
I support clients in exploring how early attachment experiences shape present-day behaviours, emotions, and relationship patterns. This helps build awareness, strengthen emotional safety, and support more secure ways of relating.
  • Inner Child & Parts Work
I use inner child recovery and parts-based work, often informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), to help you connect with the different aspects of yourself—particularly those shaped by childhood experiences. This helps bring clarity, compassion, and healing to parts that may feel wounded, reactive, or hidden.
  • Psychoeducation
I incorporate gentle, trauma-informed psychoeducation to help you understand how the nervous system, brain, and attachment systems function. Having this knowledge can empower you to make sense of your experiences and support your emotional regulation and growth.
  • Person-Centred Practice
I work with a deep respect for your inner wisdom and autonomy. You are the expert in your own life, and I offer a warm, empathic space where you can explore, express, and reconnect with your authentic self.
  • Dyadic and Family-Informed Work
I sometimes integrate dyadic and family-informed approaches, particularly when working with attachment patterns rooted in parent-child relationships. This helps support emotional regulation, attunement, and the healing of intergenerational dynamics.
  • Jungian Psychotherapy & Symbolic Exploration
For those interested in depth work, I offer space to explore unconscious processes through Jungian concepts such as archetypes, the shadow, and dreams. This symbolic lens can offer profound insight and personal transformation.
  • Energy Awareness & Crystal Work
As part of a holistic approach, I also incorporate energetic awareness and crystal healing practices where appropriate. These can support grounding, emotional clarity, and a deeper connection to the body and spirit.

This integrative and heart-led approach allows us to work together in a way that feels supportive, flexible, and aligned with your healing journey. Whether you’re navigating trauma, relational challenges, or seeking deeper self-understanding, we move at your pace—with curiosity, care, and respect.

My Experience

I’m a trauma and attachment therapist with four years of experience working therapeutically with adults, children, young people, and families. I have specialist training and experience in supporting individuals affected by domestic abuse and substance missuse, and I offer gentle, trauma-informed psychoeducation to help clients make sense of their responses and rebuild safety within their bodies and relationships.

I work with a wide range of emotional and relational difficulties including stress, anxiety, low mood, relationship issues, low self-esteem, and the impacts of childhood trauma. I have particular expertise in supporting adopted and looked-after children, as well as children and young people who have experienced sexual abuse or display harmful sexual behaviour.

Whether I’m working with individuals or families, my aim is always to hold space for healing, help untangle the effects of early trauma, and support clients in reconnecting with their inner strength, voice, and sense of worth.
